Reflecting on Founder’s Week 2026

Life is a journey of reflecting on the past, embracing the present, and preparing for the future. I am deeply grateful for the experiences and people who have shaped who I am today. Above all, I thank God and everyone who has given my life purpose and meaning.

Founder’s Week remains a cherished tradition in the life of Nambale Magnet School, celebrating a holistic approach to education and life.

This year, we demonstrated our shared responsibility for a clean and healthy environment by engaging in a school-wide cleanliness exercise, both within and outside the school compound. We also planted trees donated by Equity Bank, Busia, reaffirming our commitment to environmental conservation and a better tomorrow. We sincerely thank Equity Bank, Busia, for providing the seedlings and for being a valued partner in this important initiative.

One of life’s greatest lessons is that sharing is caring. In that spirit, our Corporate Social Responsibility activity this year focused on visiting St. Martin’s Special School for the Physically Challenged in Kisoko, Nambale Sub-county. We were warmly received, and together we exceeded expectations through acts of service: cleaning the compound, slashing bushes, trimming hedges, washing the dining hall, and helping with laundry.

After the activities, we gathered in the dining hall to share gifts that included foodstuffs, cleaning supplies, reading and writing materials, and mobility aids such as a wheelchair, crutches, and walkers. The learners expressed their joy through songs and dances, which we gladly joined in. The mobility devices were generously donated through the American Friends of Kenya (AFK), and we remain truly grateful for their support.

The week was also filled with exciting sporting and outdoor activities. At Nambale Magnet School, we believe education goes beyond academics. Our learners continue to excel in co-curricular activities that help build discipline, teamwork, physical fitness, and character — qualities that positively influence every aspect of life. These experiences help nurture well-rounded learners.

A highlight of the week was the joyful cake-cutting ceremony. Escorted into the school hall by a live band, the atmosphere was vibrant and unforgettable. Inspiring speeches, songs, heartfelt messages, and thoughtful gifts created beautiful memories in a school community we deeply cherish. Sharing the celebration with all our May-born students made the occasion even more special.

We conclude Founder’s Week with a family service, reminding us that we are created for God’s glory. Together, we lift our worship and gratitude to the God of Heaven, who grants us life, health, and purpose.

In essence, Founder’s Week is about celebrating our past, appreciating our present, and reimagining our future.
Long live Nambale Magnet School! God bless you all.

I celebrate God and all our partners who make NMS possible. To the entire Magnet Family, thank you for making this week truly special. I genuinely love you all, you are my God-given purpose.
